SAN plastic sample

SAN is ABS without the EPDM particles. It is transparent but commonly used as opaque as well.

Why choose it?

  • Transparent
  • Inexpensive, yet a better impact, thermal and chemical resistance than PS (for a slightly higher price).

Why not choose it?

  • Stress-cracking when subject to continuous load.

Typical applications:

  • Jugs
  • Plastic champagne glasses
  • Refrigerator vegetable compartment
